Apr 30 - A gift

Last week, my cousins from India visited us.  She got me a beautiful saree with a matching clutch purse!  I love the blouse and the purse.  She gave it to me in a beige color printed fabric bag, which is in the top right corner of the picture and this is the purse.

Apr 29 - Train ride from New Jersey

Yesterday, that is on the 29th, I went to Jersey Gardens outlet stores with couple of my friends.  We took the train to Newark and a taxi from there to the outlet stores.  I have never been to these outlets and wanted to check out and hence tagged along with them.  It was a disappointing trip!  I did not find anything interesting there and it was a waste of money, time and energy.  I was so exhaust that went to bed at 9 pm itself!  I took this picture on my way back to the city, from the moving train.  This was between Secaucus and NYC.

Apr 28 - Mamma Mia

I finally got to watch Mamma Mia today!  I was meaning to watch this on broadway for a quite some time.  I totally enjoyed the show and loved it!

Apr 27 - Hollister

Today I took my nephew shopping and one of the stores I took him to was Hollister. I never been to Hollister before, at least I don't remember shopping there before and certainly first time in NYC.   Whenever I visit Abercrombie & Fitch, it reminds me of my age. I don;t like the loud music and half dimmed lighting in the store and Hollister was no different. The only difference I noticed was the price, Hollister isn't as ridiculously expensive as Abercrombie & Fitch.

Apr 26 - A Rainy day

Today is another rainy day and this was the picture at a public school around 3 pm.  People waiting outside the school in the rain to pick up their children.  Took this picture with my LG Chocolate cell phone.

Apr 25 - Clean Linen

My cousins left Saturday night and it rained all day on Sunday. Since it rained all day, didnot step out of the house.  All I did was some laundry. Fresh and clean linen in my dryer.

Apr 23 - Speedometer

I almost forgot to click a picture for the day.  We were busy shopping and almost forgot about the photo for the day.  After shopping, we took a train down to New Jersey to visit another cousin.  Her husband picked us up from the train station.  It was past 9:30 in the night.  As we were driving, I saw the reflection of the  speedometer on the driver side car door window.  That reminded me of this picture and that was when I realized that I had not taken a single picture that day and here it is.

Apr 22 - Army Ceremony on Empire State Building

Last Thursday when we were on Empire State Building, we were fortunate to watch an army ceremony that took place on the observation deck of Empire State Building. Some of the officers were promoted during this ceremony.

Apr 21 - Phantom of the Opera

My cousins were in the city and was busy the last few days and could not update the blog every day.  However, I have taken pictures everyday for the blog.

It was Broadway night!  Watched Phantom of the Opera at Majestic Theater.
