Jun 11 - Day 162: Walk by the East River

There is a walkway by the East River and once in a while I go there for a walk, specially in the evenings. Though this walk way is close to where I live and I like walking there, I prefer going to the park. This walk way is right next to FDR drive and is not as peaceful, quite & calm as it is in the Central Park. Yesterday while I was walking, spotted this NYPD boat patrolling the waters of the river.

July 1 - Tribal woman

Say hello to tribal Indian woman in my living room.

A vessel carrying some machinery. Shot these pictures almost a month a ago when I was by the East River.  I did not get any good pictures today and decided to put these as one of today's pictures.  After drafting the post, did not feel like posting  archived picture for the photo project.

June 29 - John Finley Walk

Took a stroll on the East River Esplanade.  This esplanade is by the FDR drive and from 81st street, it is over the FDR drive.  I have not walked beyond the 86th street mark.  Took this picture at the 81st street entrance.

Light house park on the northern tip of the Roosevelt Island. Since I normally don't walk up that far, I was awestruck by the view from the 81st street, above the FDR drive.

May 13 - Circle Line

Circle - Line Cruise boat on East River.  This is 2 or 3 hour cruise around Manhattan.  I took the picture from Manhattan and the island behind the boat is Roosevelt Island.  The bridge in the picture, to the upper right corner is Queens Boro Bridge which connects Manhattan and Queens.
