Dec 23 - Times Square

Location: Times square.

Every time I am in Times Square area, I can't stop myself from clicking a picture of this billboard.  This is part of the billboard I posted a few days back.  This is on the other side of the building.

Dec 17 - Empire State Building

Yesterday I put my battery for charging and forgot to put it back in the camera. When we went out, I had the camera without the battery. Took this picture with my iPhone. I know the clarity is not good, but to go with the holiday lighting theme, putting up this picture.

Dec 11 - Is that Bank of America Tower?

My focus was on the blue spire. I don't remember seeing that spire (with lighting) in the past and wasn't sure which building it was. I googled to check out the spiral lightings in the city and concluded it is in fact Bank of America tower. I am not convinced though. That tower is far away from my building and am surprised how close it appears from here. This spire changed color every few seconds.

Dec 6 - UNICEF Snowflake

From today onwards, until Christmas, I will be posting holiday decorations, lighting and window displays. I know I have already posted a few holiday picture here but from now on, this would be the main theme for the year.

This is one of the first holiday lighting that was put up this year. Every year, this snowflake lighting is put up on the intersection of 5th avenue and 57th street.

Central park has its own beauty this time of the year with fallen leaves. I love walking in the park any season of the year and it is absolutely gorgeous year round!

Location: White Plains, NY.
I went to gem shows 3-4 times in San Mateo, California. Never been to one in the east. Compared to San Mateo show, this is relatively small.

Dec 2 - Madison Avenue in the night

It has become very difficult to take a picture during the day. The days have become so short that it is getting dark very soon. Took this picture around 5:20pm and it was already pitch dark!

Nov 29 - All done!

Ten days ago, this Christmas tree decoration was in progress and today when I walked by the Bloomberg towers, it was all done!

Nov 28 - Wintuk

Photography was strictly prohibited at cirque du soleil show, Wintuk. I took a quick picture with my iphone, for the blog. The show was a little disappointing but the little girl in the front row loved it.

Nov 19 - Trouble shooting

My desktop was infected with a virus, I think, and had to do a clean installation of windows. The irony is, I upgrade my anti virus and that's when the trouble started. Once I did a clean installation, some of the network drivers were missing. My only option was downloading it from the web and I could not connect to the web with my cable modem. I had to move my desktop to the phone jack for a dial up connection. After going through all this trouble, it occurred to me that all I needed to do was download the drivers to my laptop, which was working perfectly fine, copy it to a flash drive and install it on my desktop. It was as simple as that and that is exactly what I ended up doing. I did not have to go through the pain of physically moving my PC from the desk! :-)
