This is from the archives taken in August during my trip to India. This is my maternal grandparents home in the village and I visited the village after almost 19 years. The house is vacant since my grandmother passed away 16 years ago.

Week # 44 / 1 - High ISO

The theme this week is photos with high ISO, 1600 & higher. This was taken at ISO 1600. I usually adjust my aperture and shutter speed for light and use high ISO unless it is absolutely required. Most of the pictures I took with high ISO have lot of noise and try to avoid it. But today was a perfect day to try high ISO. It was a cloudy day and long exposure (slow shutter speed) would require holding the camera sturdy, which I absolutely can not do. High ISO did the trick!

Week # 41 / 1 - Glass

Photographing glass is very tricky. Today I attempted to take a picture of a glass without any reflections on the glass. I was successful to some extent in taking a black-line glass photo (the first pic) without any reflections on it but not a white-line glass photo (second pic). I will try again another day. :)
