It snowed today and it was the first for this season. I never seen snow this yearly and I am hoping this winter is not as bad as it was last year. I took this picture early in the day, soon after it started snowing. There was not much accumilation anyway, as the temperatures were warmer.

Yesterday I went shopping for some nail colors. I usually end up buying shades of maroon, pink and chocolate. This time I wanted to buy something different. I went back home without purchasing any nail polishes and painted all the colors I already have, to refresh my memory. The ones on my toes are some of the colors I own, except the orange on my right toe. I have a different shade on each toe. Look at the last three toes of my right feet.  Those are three different shades and all three look almost the same. Now you know what I mean when I say I buy similar shades!

Oct 15 ~ Day 288 - Occupy Wall Street moves to Times Square

Occupy Wall Street crowd moved to Time Square Saturday morning and we hoped they would clear by the evening. They were suppose to vacate the area by 6:30pm but were still there around 7:30.
What a coincident! Exactly a year ago, I was in time square.. :)

Oct 13 ~ Day 286 - Occupy Wall Street

I had lunch with a few of my friends in Wall Street area and then headed over to Zuccotti Park to check out the Occupy Wall Street crowd.
These people have camped in the park for the past 4 weeks, protesting the economic inequality in the country and the corporate influence over the government. Today is the 27th day of the protest. 

City officials are going to clean the park tomorrow at 7am and the protesters need to vacate the area. They can come back after the cleaning but the protesters are skeptical about it. They are afraid they won't be allowed to come back and some of the protestors are unwilling to move from the park. The sign in the above picture is a jab at the mayor as he is one among the 1% of America that these protesters are protesting against.

That is my little niece getting her nails done! It was her first visit to NYC and one of the things to do on her list was getting her nails done. We took her to the near by spa and got her nails painted. She picked the hot pink color. We, her mom & I did not like the color she chose but it was pretty on her nails, especially in the night.
