Oct 29 - My eyes!

I had an appointment with my ophthalmologist today. He wanted to do a dilated eye examination, for which he put some drops in my eyes. These drops make the vision blurred for 3-5 hours. I did not want to go around with blurred vision, hence could not take a picture today. End of the day, I decided to make my eyes today's picture of the day!

I couldn't resist myself from clicking this picture. I was hesitant to take this picture as I did not want to be accused of intruding into someone's privacy. Since I did not actually trespass into their property, I guess it is ok to take a picture.

The view from the other end of the walkway was more beautiful than this. I was lazy to pull out the camera from my pocket. If I happen to go that side in the next few days, I will make it a point to click a picture again. Also, I think this would be the right time to head down to the park see some lovely fall colors!

Oct 19 - Scaffolding saga continues.. :(

As I mentioned in my earlier posts, there are 3 scaffolding hanging down my windows, of which two are hanging down my living room window. These obnoxious scaffolding have blocked the beautiful skyline from one side of the room.  To make it worse, the other window has these ridiculous monster hanging down the window!  Now we don't even feel like opening the blinds for the living room.

I took this picture late in the night and hence not a great one.  Now that all the windows of my apartment are surround by these scaffoldings, I can't even take a picture from my apartment, when I need on for my pic a day project.

This flock of birds were circling around the build this morning. I zoomed as much as I could and this the best shot I could get of these birds.

This is where I watch most of the bollywood movies. It was Robot this time. The movie was ok and I did not find it as great as everyone had made it out to be.. :-)

We were in Times Square area to catch a movie. One our way back, clicked a picture of Times building. Could not get a clear shot as my camera battery was dying on me.

I thought of taking a picture of the Columbus day parade for the blog and I thought the parade was until 4 pm.  I got there  by 3:15 pm.  Unfortunately, the parade had moved on to uptown by the time I got to 59th street.  Since I was already near the park, I took a stroll in the park.  I love central park and each time I go there, I find something new and interesting.  Last week, it was the Strawberry Fields, 2.5 acres of the park dedicated to John Lennon and today, this animated cock.  This is located in the children's zoo and I usually enter the park and walk thru this clock almost every time I am in the park.  All this time I was unaware that this clock is animated.  It animates at the top and bottom of the hour, everyday from 8 am.  The animals under the clock animate.

Picture for this day was a stack of documents to be shredded. As I was watermarking the picture, I realized that by zooming the picture, my address could be revealed.. :) So, I am posting a picture I took the next day.

I don't know what this structure is. This was at east 59th street entrance to Central park. There use to be a different structure in that place.

Oct 3 - Fall is yet to arrive!

I was little lazy and distracted and did not feel like updating the blog. However, I did take pictures everyday for the bog.
