May 31 - Stuck in traffic

We were stuck in traffic on our way back to NY. It is 2 - 2 1/2 hour drive and in traffic it takes 3 1/2 hour. It took us over four hours.  Took this picture with Iphone.

May 30 - In Style

Were in Atlantic City and went in style!  I forgot my camera and took this with my Iphone.

May 29 - I was in "Chicago"!

I watched it tonight and is a very good show.

May 28 - Fendi NYC

I don't like Fendi bags very much but do like the exterior of the NYC flagship store. To my surprise, I liked couple of bags during this visit to the store.

May 27 - Korean BBQ

Don's Bogam, a Korean BBQ place is where we have been for dinner, 5 Fridays in a row.. actually 4 Fridays in a row and this Thursday. As soon as we entered the restaurant, the hostess greeted us saying, "today is not friday?"

Spicy Short Ribs, the best at this place.  I could not capture a good picture of these ribs as I sat away from this grill.  I have tasted beef but would never order it unless that is the only option left. At this place, I only order spicy short ribs.

May 26 - Wall Clocks

Looking for a good wall clock and have not found one yet!

May 25 - A box of empty Cookie Crisp cereal

I was munching on these crisps this afternoon.  There was some cereal left in the box and what better way to clean up the pantry!  I don't like milk and no way I was going to eat this with milk and I don't have any kids visiting us anytime soon.

May 24 - Taxi line at JFK

I was at JFK to drop off my cousin at the airport.  Taxis lined up at the taxi stand to pick up passengers!  Took the picture with my LG Chocolate phone.

May 23 - Foggy Sunday Morning

It was a foggy sunday morning.  Took this picture just after 7 am.  To get an idea how foggy it was, look at this picture I took last month, on a rainy night.

May 22 - Baby Pineapple

Although I have seen these little guys before, I was excited to spot them in Food Emporium this evening. There were three baby pineapples in the grocery store and  I took the picture of one of them.

It was cloudy all day. Took this picture from my apartment. I had to zoom in and also crop the picture to see the tiny looking plane, so far away in the sky.

May 18 - Rug Swatches

I want to buy couple of rugs and bought these swatches to see how they would look on my wooden floor and go with my furniture. I like the top two swatches and Mr.U likes none!

Rose Bushes

Took this picture by the East River.  There is a walking trail by the river and on the trail were these rose  bushes.  I also took today's picture, Circle Line form this trail.  I thought of saving this picture for tomorrow, as I might not get a good picture tomorrow due rain.  The forecast for tomorrow is rain all day.  Then I decided to put it up today itself and click something else for the next day.

May 13 - Circle Line

Circle - Line Cruise boat on East River.  This is 2 or 3 hour cruise around Manhattan.  I took the picture from Manhattan and the island behind the boat is Roosevelt Island.  The bridge in the picture, to the upper right corner is Queens Boro Bridge which connects Manhattan and Queens.

Yesterday, that is on May 10, I was going through my hard drive to organize my folders and came across some old pictures. This is one of the pictures which I took last spring on Park Avenue. Another picture from last spring is Tulips, also from park avenue.

May 9 - View from our room

This is was the view from our room.  I was in Atlantic City with my cousins over the weekend.  We stayed at Borgata, a casino which is away from most of the casinos.  This is the newest casino in town which opened 5 or 6 years ago.  Since this casino opened, we stopped going to the old casinos on the boardwalk.  In the picture, can see the Atlantic Ocean and most of the casinos in the city that are on the ocean front.

May 8 - New Jersey again!

This past weekend I was in New Jersey.  Beautiful spring flowers in my cousin's neighborhood.

May 7 - Brodaway on 34th street

People relaxing on one of the busiest streets of Manhattan.  That is Broadway on 34th street, in front of Macys. Last year, the city closed Broadway for traffic from 48th street (if I recall correctly) to 34th street and put some chairs and benches on the street. It is really cool to sit and watch all the hustle and bustle in one the busiest places in the city, especially near Time Square.

May 6 - My snack for the past few days

I bought a bottle of Bournavita last month, before my cousins visit.  They have a 15 year old daughter and bought it just incase she drinks milk.  I drank bournavita milk only once however, I have been putting it to good use.  For the past 3-4 days, have attacked the bottle and managed to finish off 3/4th bottle all by myself.  The recipe for my snack is 2:1 ration bournavita and sugar.  Don't laugh at me!  Sometimes I like crazy & weird food!

May 5 - Absent minded work

Did you get it? I put the stamp on the left side of the letter and the return address on the right! I put the stamp first and when I was putting the return address label, thats when I realized what I had done.  I did not want to waste a stamp and an envelop, so stuck the label to the right and mailed it. 

May 4 - Cauliflower

This was my dinner tonight. I sauteed cauliflower, made some chicken and served it with steamed white & brown rice.

May 3 - Horse Buggy

It rained in the morning and a little bit  in the afternoon.  The sun came out only for a brief period of time and was cloudy most of the day.  In the evening, I walked by the park and took this picture of a horse buggy.  The buggy driver mistook me for a tourist and tried to sell me a ride in the park.  When I told him I live in the city, he said I looked like a tourist!  With my outfit and the camera in my hand, I probably did look like  a tourist!

May 2 - Bike Tour

Every year on first Sunday in May, there is a bike tour in NYC.  The tour starts in Manhattan and goes through all the five boroughs of New York and ends back in Manhattan.  Today's picture is bikers getting on to Queens borough bridge in Manhattan.

May 1 - Love

Today is the International Day of Love. What better picture to post today than the a picture of Love Sculpture! In all the cities that I have lived in the USA has this sculpture. Actually, I was unaware that Indianapolis has this sculpture too. The original sculpture is in exhibit in Indianapolis Museum of Art and since I never been to that museum in the six years that I have lived there, I did not know that.  How ironic, isn't it?  I only came to know about it a few days ago when I googled for Love Sculpture.  Philadelphia has a sculpture too and so does NYC.   I took this photo in NYC, which is on the corner of 55th street and 6th avenue.
